JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said the DKI Provincial Government will open fire service job vacancies (damkar) in the near future.

Pramono said that the openness of residents outside the region to register as DKI firefighters was carried out based on the recruitment process for public infrastructure and facilities handling officers (PPSU).

Pramono acknowledged that this phenomenon was caused by the high need for jobs.
"I really have to admit what it is, right now, there are many openings. There are a lot of them who register and on average they are not Jakarta residents, because their ID cards are seen," said Pramono.
"Including what is now opening for the fire department. The vacancy is after PPSU," continued the former Cabinet Secretary.
Previously, Pramono admitted that the number of firefighters in Jakarta needed to be increased. Because, not only tackling the red rooster, the ranks of the Gulkarmat Service are also often relied on by people who need rescue help.
