JAKARTA - Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 3 Cirebon Muhibbuddin emphasized that the recovery process is focused on accelerating the normalization of train travel across the north affected by the incident.

He said the evacuation process for the series and repair of the relaxation were maximized after the rescue train arrived at the scene on Friday night.

"We make sure all recovery measures are carried out quickly and safely so that train trips return to normal as soon as possible," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 1.

Muhibbuddin said as many as five series of trains had fallen, namely one generator train, two compartment trains, and two executive trains.

Meanwhile, the other seven series were not affected and remained in a safe condition.

Passengers were immediately evacuated and diverted using vehicles to continue their journey to Jakarta.

He detailed that of the total 259 passengers who were inside the train, one person suffered minor injuries and had received treatment at the hospital before being allowed to go home.

In addition, PT KAI diverted passengers of the Brantas train for the Senen-Blitar Market connection using a vehicle to Tegal Station to continue their journey.

"As a result of the incident, 17 train trips across the north between Jakarta and Cirebon experienced delays," he said.

PT KAI also diverted the travel routes of several trains, which were originally via the northern route, to turning through the southern route such as Tegal-Purwokerto-Kroya-Bandung-Cikampek.
