France Closes Doors For Gazans Entering Their Country In The Aftermath Of Anti-Semitic Alleged Cases

JAKARTA - France will suspend the Palestinian acceptance program from Gaza. This policy was taken in the aftermath of a student from Gaza who studied in France allegedly distributing antisemit uploads.

French officials say Sciences Po University in the town of Lille in northern France has revoked the student status concerned regarding online uploads suspected of being an antisemit case.

"There will be no follow-up in any form until we get the conclusion of this investigation," French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrut told Franceinfo radio, Friday, August 1, quoted from AFP.

He added that in the aftermath of this case all Gazans who had entered France would undergo a second examination.

France has helped more than 500 people leave Gaza since Israel carried out military operations in the Palestinian territories.

Those who were accepted into France included children who were injured, journalists, students, and artists.

Israel invaded Gaza since October 2023, leading to heavy deaths from civilians to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's actions blocking humanitarian aid in Gaza, which is starving.

The world's human rights group considers Israel to have committed "genocide" in Gaza.
