Foreigners Who Robb Money Changers In Bali Use Fake Identity

DENPASAR - Kuta Sector Police, Denpasar Police, Bali said two foreigners who robbed money changers in Segara Villa Tuban, Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali used fake identities to trick the victim.

"They deliberately targeted our people who were trying to exchange money. They used passports as identities when transacting, so the victim wanted to bring some money that had been determined by the perpetrators," said Kuta Police Chief Kompol Agus Riwayanto Diputra, Thursday, July 31.

Two foreigners who carried out the robbery in Tuban, Kuta District, Bali, on Sunday 27 July 2025 at around 11.30 WITA, namely Evgeniy Victorovich Pak (34) from Uzbekistan and Taccoddin Fazil Oglu Tajaddin Hajiyep (34) from Azerbaijan.

In this case, the perpetrator Tajaddin Hajiyep used a fake passport under the name Boriz Anzej Musielak with Polish origin.

Meanwhile, the perpetrator Evgeniy Victorovich claimed to be a member of Interpol. The two met at a nightclub in Bali.

Agus said that based on the results of the investigation, both of them had committed crimes with a similar mode where the first victim in Canggu with a loss of Rp. 170 million.

"The results of the investigation have committed a crime similar to the crime scene in Canggu with the same modus operandi targeting people in the money change field, loss of Rp. 170 million," he said.

Agus said that his party was still conducting further investigations regarding the falsification of passport identities from the perpetrators.

"We are still developing the passport issue. For further investigation, we will delegate it to the Denpasar Police Satreskrim," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of the Enforcement Section of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office Dharma Bayuaji said the two foreigners entered Bali in January 2025.

At that time, both of them entered using original passports using a visit visa that had been extended several times.

"His crossing is legal and really uses the original passport. Entering Bali last January uses a visit visa," he said.

He said, based on the results of the Immigration search, the residence of the Tajaddin Hajiyep perpetrator from Azerbaijan had expired, while Evgeniy Victorovich was still in effect until August.

Previously, two foreigners were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kuta Police on Sunday (27/7) when they were about to take away Rp191,150,000. The two strangled the necks of two money changers, but were prevented by residents when they were about to escape.

Currently, both of them have been detained at the Denpasar Police Detention Center.
