PPATK Reactivates Tens Of Millions Of Dormant Accounts Based On Analysis Results

JAKARTA - The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) stated that it had reactivated the previous threat account that was blocked. The number reaches tens of millions of accounts.

"We have also reopened millions of (accounts)," said Head of the Public Relations Bureau of PPATK, Natsir Kongah to VOI, Thursday, July 31.

Regarding the exact number, Natsir did not explain it clearly. Because, the number will continue to grow because it continues to process.

The opening of the blocking of tens of millions of domestic accounts was based on the results of an analysis conducted by PPTK. Of course, there are certain considerations, one of which is the background of the account owner.

"Yes, we continue to process. So we have temporarily suspended many and we have opened many," he said.

Regarding the blocked threat accounts, the number also reaches tens of millions. In fact, it has continued to increase over the last few years.

Blocking is carried out to prevent the use of the banger's account in a criminal act, such as online gambling to money laundering.
