Police Hunt For Robbers 150 Grams Of Gold And Tens Of Millions Of Money In Sindangbarang Cianjur

CIANJUR - The Cianjur Resort Police, West Java, is hunting for R (51), the perpetrator of the theft of a gold shop in Sindangbarang District who managed to take away 150 grams of gold and tens of millions of rupiah, while the shopkeeper was going to the bathroom.

Sindangbarang Police Chief AKP Dadang Rustandi said the perpetrator, who was known as a satay trader in front of a gold shop, was caught on CCTV so that the shopkeeper who found the window in an empty state immediately reported it to the Sindangbarang Police.

"Before carrying out the action around 10:00 WIB, the perpetrator had a chance to chat with the shopkeeper who said goodbye to the bathroom, that's when the perpetrator looted gold in the storefront and money at the cashier's desk," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 28.

The perpetrator's actions were caught on CCTV installed in the shop, where the perpetrator looted a number of jewelry displayed in the storefront and Rp50 million in cash stored in the cashier's drawer, after the perpetrator fled.

"We ask the perpetrators to immediately surrender or be hunted by officers, we have also coordinated with the West Java Police and Polda to arrest the perpetrators suspected of escaping out of town," he said.

Meanwhile, the testimony of eyewitnesses from local residents was not suspicious of the existence of the satayist, who was known to have been selling in front of the gold shop for a long time.

Even residents and witnesses are used to seeing the perpetrator sitting in front or in the shop because it is very close to the guard and quite well known as the shop owner who has been giving permission for the perpetrator to sell.

"We saw him chatting with the shopkeeper, we didn't suspect that he would commit the theft because he was used to hanging out in front of the shop selling satay," said witness Dea (54), a local resident.
