With the start of the Flyover Latumenten project in August or September 2025, Kent hopes that the problem of traffic congestion in this area can be resolved soon.
He also asked all parties, including the Mayor of West Jakarta, Uus Kuswanto, and the ranks of the West Jakarta Police, to be able to coordinate in regulating traffic during the construction process.
"I ask the Mayor of West Jakarta to also carry out a traffic engineering program. I hope this development can run smoothly and can be completed quickly. The people of Grogol Petamburan and its surroundings have been waiting a long time. And I am optimistic, with this flyover, the mobility of residents will be more efficient, especially during peak hours," explained the member of Commission C of the DKI DPRD.
The development stage has now entered the socialization stage for local residents. According to him, this socialization is an important first step before the start of the construction process which is scheduled to take place from August or September 2025.
"Socialization is carried out to provide understanding to the public regarding the purpose of building this floater, the temporary impact that may arise, as well as the long-term benefits of the existence of the flyover," he said.
For information, the Latumeten Flyover will be built near a mental hospital on Latumeten Street and across the railroad tracks. This flyover was built on the east side of the 440.86 meter road and the west side along the 439.23 meter.
In the construction of the Latumeten Flyover, a budget of IDR 350.18 billion was allocated with funding sources from the 2025 APBD amounting to IDR 69.07 billion and the 2026 APBD IDR 281.11 billion.
Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung hoped that the flyover could help unravel congestion that usually occurs around railroad crossings.
"I have asked for the construction to be carried out immediately. Hopefully this August or September can start.
