Pramono Instructs Mayor Of Jakarta To Order Illegal Parking Officers

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung instructed his mayor to control illegal parking attendants or jukir.

This instruction emerged after it went viral on social media a video showing the jukir setting a parking rate of Rp. 10,000 in the Hotel Indonesia (HI) roundabout area. Pramono said public order was his priority.

"I have instructed the mayors and regents of Pulau Seribu, although Pulau Seribu is definitely not there, yes (illegal parking, ed) for matters relating to public order including parking attendants and so on to be brought under control," Pramono told reporters at the Istiqlal Mosque, Central Jakarta, Saturday, July 26.

Meanwhile, regarding the fate of the jukir at the HI Roundabout which had gone viral, Pramono emphasized that the control had been carried out.

"So the illegal parking attendant at the HI Roundabout has been arrested," he said.

"And in yesterday's plenary session, the Head of the Satpol PP Office fully reported it," continued the former Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

As previously reported, the Menteng Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested a illegal parking attendant in the Papua mess, Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta on Friday night, July 25. Adnan Mutato is said to be a thug with the mode of harassing parking services of Rp. 10,000 per motorbike.
