MATARAM - A member of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) DPRD from the Democratic Party faction, Indra Jaya Usman, fulfilled the summons of the NTB High Prosecutor's Office to provide information in the investigation into the alleged corruption of the basic thought fund (pokir) for the 2025 fiscal year.

After being questioned, Indra, who is familiarly called IJU, stated that he did not have the authority to manage the pokir fund because he was only inaugurated in September 2024.

"Of course that is the authority of the leadership to regulate this matter. Because I am just an ordinary member," said IJU at the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Mataram, Antara, Thursday, July 24.

IJU explained that his visit to the NTB Prosecutor's Office was a form of fulfilling the invitation for a request for information. He admitted that he received 18 questions from the prosecutor's team, but emphasized that he did not know in detail the mechanism of the pokir fund.

"I explained to the prosecutor that I have just been inaugurated in September 2024. Meanwhile, the pokir funds have been ratified in August, so I don't know because I didn't follow the discussion," he said.

When asked about his alleged involvement in the distribution of counterfeit funds, IJU considered the allegations unreasonable. He emphasized that he had no role in the preparation or allocation of the budget.

"Yes, we-we just don't know anything about this pokir issue," he said.

Responding to the issue of the pokir fund which was said to have been transferred to the personal pocket of a member of the council, IJU again denied it. He said the allegations were increasingly baseless.

"It's even more unclear if the problem is like that. We have just been inaugurated, so we don't know anything yet," he said.

Until now, the investigation process at the NTB Prosecutor's Office is still ongoing in accordance with the Investigation Order Number PRINT-09/N.2/Fd.1/2025 dated July 10, 2025. A number of council members have been summoned for clarification by the special criminal field.

In this case, IJU and another DPRD member, Hamdan Kasim, are on the reported list. The examination of IJU lasted until around 11.00 WITA and he came accompanied by his attorney.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Efrien Saputera, confirmed that the prosecutor carried out the examination of IJU in the special criminal field.

"Yes, the person concerned was asked for information during the investigation stage at the pidsus (special punishment)," said Efrien.
