Two Junior High School Students On Jalan Moncokerto Matraman, East Jakarta, Were Tricked By Old Mode, Motorbikes And Cellphones Were Taken Away

JAKARTA - Two teenage boys from Kayumanis, Matraman, East Jakarta admitted to being victims of fraud by a group of people on Jalan Moncokerto 2, Monday, July 21, 2025, evening. As a result of the incident, the victim, who is a junior high school student named Billy and Alwaladi, lost his motorbike and cellphone.

According to the two victims, the incident began when they were passing at Moncokerto Raya II using a motorcycle. Then they were approached by the perpetrators who used 3 motorbikes.

"Initially I came from the gate (Moncokerto entrance), then the person immediately intercepted me. He said his friend's nephew was hit by the child there, he didn't know which child. But he said it was with me," said the victim in a video received by VOI, Monday night, July 21, 2025.

Billy also admitted that he was separated from his friend, Alwaladi, and then taken by one perpetrator by riding a motorbike. While one other perpetrator pretended to call his colleague.

"Then he was stopped there, invited to chat. The other went with a motorbike, he said he wanted to pick up his children, then I left with him. Then came again 1 with an Aerox motorbike, then I was riding to his children," he said.

Billy's victim was then taken down around the Matraman Hospital with the excuse of waiting for people.

"When I was told to wait, how come I didn't come back here and then he ( Billy's friend) turned out to be gone (carried by other perpetrators)," he said.

Meanwhile, from Alwaladi's confession, after his colleague, Billy, was carried away by the perpetrator, he was also taken by other perpetrators.

"After he left, suddenly someone came. The person who was the same person I brought my motorbike from the start, then the other one rode me. The perpetrator brought 3 motorbikes but all separated," continued Alwaladi.

As Billy and Alwaladi remember, the perpetrators used automatic motorbikes, namely Yamaha Aerox, Mio to Honda Beat.

"I was taken to the village GOR area, a garbage dump," he admitted.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Matraman Police, AKP Moch Zen, confirmed the incident. The Criminal Investigation Unit immediately conducted a crime scene investigation after receiving the incident report.

"Not a robber, a dark fraud mode. So the victim was accused, then invited to a place and left, his motorbike was taken away," Zen said when confirmed by VOI, Monday, July 21, 2025, evening.

Currently, the case is still under investigation by the Matraman Police Headquarters. The police are also still gathering witnesses and CCTV footage around the scene to identify the perpetrators.

"The Buser team has already processed the crime scene tonight," he said.
