JAKARTA - The Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) forcibly searched the Bengkulu Regional PT Pelindo Office and PTM Sukofindo Bengkulu related to the corruption case of coal mining in the area.
During the search, the Bengkulu Attorney General's Office of Special Investigation team was chaired by the Bengkulu Attorney General's Assistant for Supervision (Aswas) Andri Kurniawan and escorted by members of the TNI.
"The search is related to the transportation of ships from PT RSM (PT Ratu Samban Mining) carrying coal," said Head of the Investigation Section of the Bengkulu Attorney General's Office, Danang Prasetyo, in Bengkulu City, Monday.
He asked Pelindo to cooperate during the search process, but if it was deemed uncooperative, his party would take legal steps in accordance with the applicable law.
"Convey cooperatively, if you are not cooperative, we will make you a suspect. Because the investigation has forced efforts," he said.
Previously, the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office conducted a forced search at the Class III Port Office and Port Authority (KSOP) of Baai Island Bengkulu related to the alleged corruption case of coal mining in the area.
For the other two locations, the search was carried out, namely the PT Tunas Bara Jaya office in Pagar Dewa Village, and the private house of the Commissioner of PT Tunas Bara Jaya, namely BH in Bengkulu City.
The search was carried out at the Class III KSOP Office of Baai Island Bengkulu because it was part of a follow-up investigation into the alleged misuse of mining business permits (IUP) that dragged the mining company belonging to a coal mining entrepreneur, namely B-H.
During the search at the KSOP Office, investigators confiscated a number of boxes containing important documents related to the alleged coal mining corruption case in Bengkulu Province.

The search at the PT Tunas Bara Jaya office was carried out to look for evidence in the form of documents, operating reports and others, because investigators suspected that there were exploration activities outside the area listed in the official IUP document.
From the searches at the two locations, the investigative team confiscated three boxes containing documents and evidence.
"Earlier this place was the last one, this is related to the follow-up to illegal coal mining, it turns out that there are others, there is an IPP (permission for transportation and sales). This is a circle there. We look for his actions first, then we will calculate the total loss," said Danang.
