JAKARTA - Iran's Permanent Mission to the United Nations (UN) in New York has sent a report detailing Israel's crimes during its 12 days of aggression last month to the Security Council.

In a similar letter addressed to UN Secretary-General Ant Totalio Guterres and the current President of the Security Council, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, the mission presents a comprehensive report on violations, especially those targeting women and children, as reported by IRNA July 21.

The report was also forwarded to the Special Representatives of the UN Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflicts, as well as to UNICEF.

Referring to the widespread loss of life and damage to civilian infrastructure, the letter underscores the collective responsibility of the Security Council and the international community to hold them accountable for the blatant aggression.

According to a report attached in the letter, 1,100 civilians - including 132 women and 45 children - were killed in an Israeli attack, which began in the early hours of June 13.

The report further noted that the attacks were carried out deliberately targeting civilian and vital infrastructure - including hospitals, media to peaceful nuclear facilities - with substantial military, intelligence, and political support from the United States and several Western countries.

Not only that, the report includes the names and details of the biography of several victims, including 30 school children, families who lost all members, and victims of attacks at Hakim Children's Hospital, kindergarten, public park, Evin Prison, and ambulance.

The mission condemns this as a gross violation of the UN Charter, international law, Geneva Convention, and international human rights standards.

Iran's mission calls for the Security Council to address the structural impunity of the Israeli regime and its allies, urging firm action against those responsible.
