The Story Behind The Armed Robber In Cibubur

JAKARTA - Photos circulating on social media that show the condition of a man covered in blood on his face. The man was said to be an armed robber who was caught.

Some of the photos uploaded by the Twitter account @efekrumahnenek were given the narrative that the man was arrested in Cibubur, East Jakarta. He was caught after the car he was driving was hit by a box car.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit for the East Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Hery Purnomor, confirmed the incident. According to him, the man whose face was plastered on the photo, covered in wounds, was a thief at one of the minimarkets.

The injured man acts with a friend. They stole several cans of milk from a convenience store. He served as a distraction, while his partner served as executor.

"The two of them were in action. The initials Y and S. They stole 9 cans of milk," said Hery to VOI, Monday, April 20.

The mode used is to put all the stolen items into a backpack. After finishing, the perpetrator, who was an executive, fled by getting into the car. Then, followed by the man.

Once in the car, they immediately stepped on the gas to eliminate traces. Unfortunately, the minimarket keeper realized that something was missing and immediately shouted at them.

The shouting provoked the attention of local residents, including members of the buser, who were not far from the scene. The chase ensued. The perpetrator with all the driving skills tried to escape from the chase.

Meanwhile, the police and local residents continue to pursue in every way to catch him. Until finally, the car that the two perpetrators recognized was crashing into a box car. They became targets of anger from local residents before being taken by officers.

"The perpetrator was then chased by a member of the buser who was monitoring the area and finally hit a car and the perpetrator could be arrested with the help of residents," said Hery.

Their lives can finally be saved from the anger of the residents. Then, they were brought to the Ciracas Police for further investigation related to the crime of theft they had committed.

"Currently, the police are still developing the case. The two suspects are also at the Ciracas Police Station and are still undergoing an intensive investigation process.

"Still being investigated by the Police, both are still being investigated," said Hery.
