JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is targeting a new TransJakarta route towards Blok M-Ancol to be operational starting next August. This route is expected to facilitate access to residents, especially football supporters, to the Ancol area and stadiums.
Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno revealed that currently the opening of the route is being carefully designed to run smoothly. Moreover, said Rano, the Ancol area is also being arranged and infrastructure development is supporting.
"Of course it is being designed. We don't want sporadic either. The Ancol area is currently under cultivation. We have to set the route right," said Rano in Jakarta, Saturday, July 19.
According to Rano, TransJakarta on the Ancol-Blok M route will support the activities of the people heading to the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), which is now Persija's headquarters.
In addition, the addition of routes is expected to encourage the use of public transportation in the capital city.
"Because the JIS will live. Moreover, Persija has a home base there. So the task of TransJakarta must be able to distribute it," he said.

Rano also targets that the new Blok M-Ancol route service can start as Liga 1 begins in August.
