JAKARTA - Two of Pakistan's leading news television stations on Thursday withdrew a report on US President Donald Trump's plans to visit the South Asian country. One of the Iranian televisions apologized.
Geo and ARY news stations earlier on Thursday, July 17, said Trump was expected to visit Pakistan in September. However, both televisions later withdrew their reports.
"Geo News apologizes to viewers for broadcasting the news without verification," he said.
A senior management official in ARY told Reuters they withdrew the report after the Foreign Ministry said it was not aware of any plans for Trump's visit.
