Rano Karno Reveals The Profits Of Bank Jakarta Sponsor Persija

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno revealed the profits made by the regional development bank (BPD) of Bank Jakarta to sponsor Persija Jakarta football club.

According to Rano, Bank Jakarta could become better known to football fans because the banking logo of the DKI Provincial Government was emblazoned on the Persija jersey.

This was revealed by Rano after the signing of sponsorship cooperation through the sports platform between Bank Jakarta and PT Persija Jaya Jakarta.

"Jakarta residents are getting more and more know. Maybe if it is calculated, Persija has fans, maybe more than 200 thousand. But football fans in Jakarta are more than millions," said Rano.

Rano revealed that it was possible for the DKI Provincial Government to assign other BUMDs to cooperate with Persija.

In addition to Bank Jakarta, BUMD has collaborated with Persija, namely PT Transjakarta, PT MRT Jakarta, PT Jakarta Propertindo, and Perumda PAM Jaya.

"Every BUMD has its own budget. Of course, classes that can be used as sponsors can also be seen. So that means, what is called cooperation must have the value of each profit," he said.

On the one hand, Rano asked Persija Jakarta football club to prove that they were able to become league champions.

"Prove that you really deserve to be league champions. Jakmania has been waiting for Jakarta's glory in its own city for too long," explained Rano.

Rano hopes that Persija can appear consistent and win the title this season. Because, the last time Persija brought the trophy to City Hall was after winning Liga 1 in 2018 and the 2021 Menpora Cup.

"Hopefully Persija can focus and achieve maximum results. Hopefully in 2027 or 2026 he can become the champion. If Persija becomes the champion, extraordinary. It means that our target is achieved," he added.
