Jealous, Former Village Head In Temanggung Stabs Wife To Serious Wounds

TEMANGGUNG - Because of jealousy seeing his wife alone with another man, a former village head (Kades) in Temanggung Regency, Central Java (Central Java) was determined to cut his wife's head with a machete. As a result of the domestic violence incident (KDRT) victim Y (49) suffered serious injuries to the head.

The suspect in domestic violence, SBR (56) could only surrender when he was arrested by the Temanggung Police Satreskrim at his home in Gemawang Village, Gemawang District, Temanggung.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Temanggung Police, AKP Didik Tri Wibowo, revealed that the incident began when the suspect SBR asked the victim for a doctor's referral letter. However, the victim answered that the letter was missing and ordered him to go to the hospital himself. The answer sparked the suspect's emotions.

"The victim has taken pictures alone with other men," said Didik when met on Thursday, July 17.

From the results of the examination, the relationship between the suspect and the victim in the past year has not been harmonious due to jealousy. At its peak, the suspect was desperate to slash his wife's head until serious injuries.

"As a result of these remarks, the perpetrator was offended, when the victim cooked in the kitchen, the perpetrator stabbed or slashed a sharp weapon from behind when the victim was cooking in the kitchen," added Didik.

The victim received a sharp weapon wound to the lower back of the head along 12 centimeters with 35 stitches. When the incident occurred, the victim was rushed to the nearest health center.

In addition to arresting the perpetrators charged with Article 44 paragraph (2) of Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning Domestic Violence (KDRT), with a maximum imprisonment of 5 years.
