JAKARTA - Ambarawa prison officers in Semarang Regency thwarted the smuggling of around 300 Yarindo Koplo pills brought in by one of the visitors.

The head of Ambarawa Prison, Subakdo Wulandoro, said hundreds of Koplo pills smuggled by visitors on Monday, July 14, were disguised by being put in a liquid milk package.

He explained that the smuggling attempt began when a visitor with the initials RCB (23) would visit one of the inmates with several luggage.

"During the examination, hundreds of pills were found mixed in three packs of liquid milk packages," he said in Semarang, Tuesday, July 15, confiscated by Antara.

From the results of the examination of RCB, he continued, the hundreds of pills were confiscated by drug convicts with the initials AI.

Prison officers then coordinated with the Semarang Police Narcotics Unit for further handling.

The perpetrator and evidence of hundreds of Koplo pills were then handed over to the Semarang Police for further investigation.

Subakdo emphasized that Ambarawa prison officers do not tolerate drug smuggling efforts and are committed to maintaining drug abuse, illegal levies, and cell phones.
