LAMPUNG - The Lampung Regional Police (Polda) took firm action against the automotive community of Def Gank who carried out the convoy following the trend of farming aura on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) KM 58 Line B on Sunday 13 July.
"Today we summoned members of the community who carried out the action to be given a maximum ticket and asked the perpetrators to make videos and official apologies to the public and the Lampung Police Ditlantas," said Head of PJR Ditlantas Polda Lampung AKBP Indra G Kusuma, in Bandarlampung, Tuesday 15 July.
He explained that after receiving or receiving reports related to the action, his party immediately ordered the ranks to identify the perpetrator's vehicle and the community profile involved.
"Then our members managed to secure the vehicle and provide education related to driving safety to the perpetrators. We imposed a maximum fine of Rp. 750,000 in accordance with Article 283 of Law no. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation," he said.
AKBP Indra also said that related to this case, it is a reminder to the public that following a viral trend that endangers safety is not something to be proud of.
"We emphasize that law enforcement continues, and we will continue to encourage education," he said.
