West Jakarta Tamhut Sub-dept. Claims 900 Tumbang-Prone Trees Have Been Handled

JAKARTA - The West Jakarta City Parks and Forests Sub-department together with related agencies have handled as many as 900 trees prone to falling in eight sub-districts during June 2025.

Head of the West Jakarta City Parks and Forests Sub-dept. (Sudin Tamhut), Dirja Kusuma, said that the handling carried out was in the form of pruning and felling. In addition, the evacuation of fallen trees and splinters.

"So, in June 2025 we will handle a total of 900 trees," said Dirja, ANTARA, Monday, July 14, 2025.

During June, light pruning was carried out on 371 trees, moderate pruning 285 and weighing 188 trees. "Meanwhile, 14 trees were cut, 8 splinters and 34 trees fell," said Dirja.

He added that the types of trees handled include Angsana, ketapang, geodokan, acacia, banyan, mango, kranji acid, guava and others.

Residents can report trees that need to be trimmed in the Jakarta area through the Community Response Rapid System (CRM).
