Roy Suryo Cs 'Loss' In Cases, Investigation Of Allegations Of Jokowi's Fake Diplomas

JAKARTA - The attorney for the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Yakub Hasibuan, stated that the investigation into Jokowi's alleged fake diploma was officially stopped.

This was decided in a special case held by the Bareskrim Polri Bureau at the request of the reporter from the Ulama Defenders Team and Activists (TPUA).

"With this, we think it is very clear, it is clear that the investigation into the alleged use of fake diplomas or forgery by Pak Jokowi has been officially stopped," Yakub told reporters, Wednesday, July 9.

Yakub emphasized that this termination also strengthens that the diploma of Jokowi's Gadjah Mada University (UGM) Faculty of Forestry is genuine. "It's clear, his diploma is genuine," he said.

He added that the results of the case title also showed that previous investigations had been carried out in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

"Today's special case title confirms that the investigation by Bareskrim Polri was carried out according to the SOP. Case closed," he said.

In a case that lasted for about five hours, from 09.00 WIB to 14.00 WIB, Yakub said that the reporting parties, including Roy Suryo and academic Rismon Sianipar, were unable to show an error in the investigation process.

Previously, the title of this case was scheduled for July 3, but was postponed due to a letter of request from TPUA. In the letter, TPUA requested that a number of parties be presented, including Komnas HAM, DPR RI, telematics expert Roy Suryo, and UGM alumni Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar.

Namun, hingga gelar perkara selesai, tak satu pun bukti baru yang relevan disampaikan pihak pelapor. Dengan demikian, penyelidikan terhadap tudingan ijazah palsu Jokowi dinyatakan resmi dihentikan.
