JAKARTA - A mother carrying a baby was reported to have fallen into the 'play hole' hole of a former aerial cable deployment project on Jalan Raya Pondok Gede, to be precise across from Pinang Ranti terminal, Makasar District, East Jakarta.

The excavation hole was found without a cover so that residents who passed by could easily fall or fall into the hole. The woman fell while walking, until her whole body was wet in the water.

The incident was also recorded by the residents' amateur cameras and went viral on social media, the incident also drew criticism from the public to the government.

Based on the upload of the Instagram account @info.jakartatimur, the incident occurred on Monday night, July 7 at around 20.55 WIB.

"Because of the excavation of the hole, it doesn't appear that someone has plunged into it, up to the neck. This excavation is not closed," said the resident who recorded the video, quoted on Tuesday, July 8.

The coverless hole is suspected to be a program belonging to the East Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-Department (Sudin BM). Even the victim fell into a hole filled with water up to an adult's neck.

"Some of the mothers bring their little children into the cable excavation. This is dangerous, it's not closed, some of the holes are not closed and some are inserted inside," he said.

This upload received criticism from netizens addressed to the Governor of DKI Jakarta.

The @we.hangson account writes that it will take a class action when it sees the incident. "Got class action can be done", he wrote.

Meanwhile, the @ayu_reyzz account wrote "The project is not clear.. what else is the one in Bogor...in the Ampone for months BKIN is stuck...in the can't take care of it...just postpone it wirrrr".

Another criticism was also written by the @ajo.egitanjung19 account writing criticism directed at the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung.

"@pramonoanungw @si.rano how about it, sir? Is it your responsibility? Please complete the excavation project just to make traffic jams, floods, and road infrastructure damaged, just stocking carelessly and the road is no longer perfect," he wrote.

"@binamarmadki," wrote the account @dumb.kod.

Meanwhile, netizens @claaarkkk wrote the same criticism as other netizens.

"If it's like this, I'm confused who's going to hit you @pramonoanungw".

Regarding the incident, the Head of the East Jakarta Highways Sub-dept. (Kasudin BM), Benhard Hutajulu, did not answer when confirmed by VOI on Tuesday morning, July 8.
