Transjakarta Driver Clashes With Ojol Driver In Palmerah Gegara Klakson

JAKARTA - The Transjakarta bus driver was involved in physical clashes with online motorcycle taxis (ojol) because of the horns on Jalan Raya S Parman, Palmerah, West Jakarta.

Transjakarta Public Relations Officer Ayu Wardhani said that the incident occurred on Friday, July 4 triggered by an ojol person who felt he was being called by a Transjakarta driver.

"It happened last Friday, the SAF-055 bus on route 10H. Based on CCTV observations, the ojol driver beat him because he felt he was being struck by the driver," said Ayu, ANTARA, Monday, July 7.

Ayu emphasized that her party did not justify any form of violence so the driver concerned made a report to the Palmerah Police.

"Transjakarta does not justify any form of violence. Pramudi has made a report to the Palmerah Police," said Ayu.

In the viral video uploaded to the Instagram account @warga.jakbar, it appears that the two Transjakarta drivers and ojol drivers were involved in physical clashes.

The situation on the road was crowded with motorists passing by due to the noisy Transjakarta driver and ojol driver.

The passing motorists, including a member of the Traffic Unit (Satlantas) of the West Jakarta Metro Police, also intervened the commotion. The Transjakarta driver seemed to have received several punches from the ojol.

A few moments later the commotion between the two was successfully dispersed until the ojol left with the passenger he was delivering.

The Palmerah Police confirmed that there was a police report from the Transjakarta driver who was involved in the physical clash.

"Just for today's LP (police report), picket information," said Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kanit Reskrim) of the Palmerah Police, AKP Dede Sobari, when confirmed on Monday.
