West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi threatened to impose sanctions on the Ciibabat Cimahi Regional General Hospital (RSUD), if it was true that there was neglect of BPJS Kesehatan dependent patients that caused him to die.

The reason, said Dedi, was that the governor had issued a circular to all hospitals, no patients should not be served.

"So if it is not served, it means that the director of the hospital ignores the circular. And we will give sanctions," said Dedi at Husein Sastranegara Bandung, Wednesday, July 2, as reported by ANTARA.

Dedi emphasized that his party would conduct an investigation at the hospital on the problems that occurred, considering that state civil servants must provide services to the community.

In terms of hospital financing, Dedi said that if the patient is a participant in BPJS Health, the institution will finance it.

Meanwhile, if the patient is not a participant, the financing will be borne by the local government.

The reason is, local governments through the health office have a budget plot to help the community.

"If he has BPJS using BPJS. If he doesn't have it, he will still be served and then the bill will be sent to the Provincial Health Office, because there is already a budget plot to help people who don't have BPJS Kesehatan," he said.

Previously, the patient's husband on behalf of Ulfa Yulia Lestari went viral while scolding the health worker at Cimahi City Hospital who was considered negligent in handling his wife's health a few days ago.

The resident of Tanimulya, West Bandung Regency, died on Sunday, June 29.
