Police Arrest Men 'Ring 1' Who Showcased Weapons In Depok

The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police arrested a man with the initials Z who showed off an airsoftgun in Depok, West Java.

Head of the Sub-Directorate of Crime and Violence (Kasubdit Jatanras) of the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Abdul Rahim confirmed the arrest.

"We have indeed arrested him and have been named a suspect," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 2.

However, he did not specify the chronology of the arrests.

"The perpetrator has been secured by investigators from the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya," he said.

Head of Public Relations of the Depok Metro Police, AKP Made Budi, explained that the incident occurred on Thursday (19/6) at around 09.00 WIB at the Depok Animal Slaughterhouse (RPH) Jalan Jagal, RT 07/RW 04 Rangkap Jaya Village, Pancoran Mas District, Depok City.

"On Thursday (19/6) at the TKP, at that time the demolition of the building in the TKP area. At that time the victim tried to approach a person named Z as a cattle entrepreneur at RPH Depok," he said.

Budi explained that the victim with the initials S asked why Z took building items until a quarrel broke out between the two.

"At that time Z said 'I was once in government and I was Ring 1 of the Palace' while lifting the bottom of the left shirt and seeing an object in the form of a gun tucked around the left waist," he said.
