School Holidays Don't Stop MBG Program, BGN Still Distributes 6 Days A Week

JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) continues to distribute free nutritious food (MBG) to students, toddlers for pregnant women, and breastfeeding during the even semester 2025 school holiday season.

"The National Nutrition Agency will continue to carry out free nutritious food distribution activities without being affected by the school holiday schedule," said BGN spokesman Redy Hendra Gunawan in an online press conference in Jakarta, Monday, June 30.

MBG delivery during the school holiday period is still carried out for 6 days a week every Monday and Thursday by combining ready-to-eat food and packaged food.

According to him, every Monday students will be sent ready-to-eat food, as well as given packaged food packages for Tuesday and Wednesday. Likewise, on Thursday, ready-to-eat food is sent as well as packaged food packages for Friday and Saturday.

Redy said packaged foods given to students during school holidays, in the form of bread or other carbohydrates, eggs, milk, and fruit.

MBG packages during school holidays are sent using environmentally friendly totebags or bags that can be used repeatedly.

Redy added that currently there are around 22.000 partners who have registered on the BGN platform. His party is verifying which one deserves to be used as a partner in the implementation of MBG.

BGN, he continued, routinely monitors and evaluates the implementation of MBG starting from the central, regional, to the smallest units in SPPG.

"We are very routinely coordinating and evaluating to be able to run a free nutritious eating program effectively, optimally, and can achieve the targets we have set," concluded Redy.
