Minister Of MSMEs: BSI Talents Help Print New Entrepreneurs And Strengthen Resilient MSMEs

JAKARTA - Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Maman Abdurrahman stated that the Entrepreneur Talent program initiated by Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) made a real contribution in producing new entrepreneurs and strengthening strong MSMEs in Indonesia.

In her statement in Jakarta, Friday, June 27, Maman emphasized that this initiative is in line with the direction of national policy as stated in the 2025'2045 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), which emphasizes the importance of creative, innovative, and inclusive economic development.

"In this context, empowering young entrepreneurs based on sharia values has a strategic role in realizing equitable and equitable economic growth," said Maman while attending the BSI Entrepreneurship Talenting Award in Jakarta, Thursday, June 26.

He said that MSMEs are still the backbone of the national economy, with more than 99 percent of business actors in Indonesia being MSMEs, which absorb around 97 percent of the workforce.

However, Maman also reminded that the challenges ahead lie not only in the quantity of MSMEs, but also in quality. We need MSMEs that are able to advance to class, adopt innovations, and penetrate regional and global markets," he said.

He hopes that the momentum of this event will be able to produce strong MSME players, have high fighting power, and not give up easily facing the challenges of the times.

The Ministry of MSMEs, continued Maman, continues to encourage cross-sectoral collaboration between the government, business actors, academics, and financial institutions. This collaboration is aimed at accelerating the birth of superior entrepreneurs who are ready to compete in the era of digital transformation and the global economy.

Various priority programs such as Entrepreneur Hub, business incubation, expansion of access to inclusive financing, and digitization of MSMEs continue to be rolled out to open the birth space for young talents throughout the country.

"We believe that a collaborative, adaptive, and globally oriented entrepreneurial ecosystem is the key to strengthening the nation's competitiveness going forward," concluded Maman.
