KPK Summons Governor Khofifah Regarding The East Java Provincial Government Grant Fund Today

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa today. He will be investigated regarding the alleged bribery of grant funds for community groups or pokmas from the East Java Provincial Budget for the 2019-2022 Fiscal Year.

"The investigation was carried out at the KPK's Red and White building," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Friday, June 20.

Apart from Khofifah, the KPK also summoned Anik Masclachah as Secretary of the East Java National Awakening Party (PKB) DPW.

"KPK has scheduled an examination of witnesses," said Budi.

The material for the examination has not been detailed. However, Anik has arrived at the KPK office since 08.45 WIB.

Meanwhile, Khofifah has not shown her nose until now.

The KPK revealed that Khofifah had the opportunity to be investigated in this case. The room together with the Deputy Governor of East Java Emil Elestianto Dardak, and several of his subordinates on December 21, 2022, have also been searched by investigators.

At that time, investigators brought a number of documents allegedly related to the alleged bribery of the East Java Provincial Government grant.

Then, the name of the hofifah was also mentioned by former Chairman of the East Java DPRD Kusnadi after undergoing examination as a witness on Thursday, June 19. According to him, the former Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) was aware of grant funds and participated in discussing them in his capacity as regional head.

"Yes, the grant funds are a process, yes, this is a process, not material. Yes, it was discussed together with the regional head," Kusnadi told reporters at the location.

Previously reported, the KPK again investigated the alleged bribery of grant funds for community groups or pokmas from the East Java Provincial Budget for the 2019-2022 Fiscal Year. 21 suspects have been determined from the development of the case.

In the process of running, a number of locations have been searched by investigators. Among them are the house of former DPD Chairman La Nyalla Mattalitti and the East Java Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) office.

In addition, the KPK has asked the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) to prevent 21 people from leaving the country in this case. They are a case that is a state administrator or member of the East Java Provincial DPRD; AI, a member of the East Java Provincial DPRD; MAH, a member of the East Java Provincial DPRD; and AS a member of the East Java Provincial DPRD.

Also prevented by BW, JPP, HAS, SUK, AR, WK, AJ, MAS, AA, AYM, AH, RWS, MF, AM, and MM as private parties; FA as a member of the Sampang Regency DPRD; and JJ who is a state administrator or member of the Probolinggo Regency DPRD.
