JAKARTA - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed Israel's military operations against Iran were faster than planned, praising its troop achievements.
That was conveyed by PM Netanyahu in an interview with public broadcaster Kan which was broadcast Thursday night local time.
"We are faster than the schedule we set, both in terms of time and results," Prime Minister Netanyahu said as the Israel-Iran open conflict entered its seventh day, quoted from The Times of Israel June 20.
Israel launched airstrikes in the "Raising Lion" operation targeting Iranian nuclear and military facilities on Friday morning last week.
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the attack on Friday was because it had enough enriched uranium to make several bombs in a few days, so it needed to act.
Israel is known to target three key Iranian nuclear facilities in Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow, as well as a number of scientists linked to Iran's nuclear research and development, as reported by CNN.
Tehran itself said it was entitled to peaceful nuclear power, denying developing nuclear weapons. However, its rapidly growing uranium enrichment program has raised concerns in the West and across the Gulf, the country wants to develop nuclear weapons.

"This work is extraordinary," Prime Minister Netanyahu said, explaining he decided the operation after Israel weakened Iran's strongest proxies, Hezbollah, at the end of last year, when it was clear Iran was "competing towards nuclear capabilities."
"The death (Hezbollah Leader Hassan) Nasrallah has destroyed the Iranian axis. What's left (Iran)? This operation has been planned for months," said PM Netanyahu.
