BLITAR - Vice President (Vice President) Gibran Rakabuming Raka made a pilgrimage to the grave of the first President of the Republic of Indonesia Soekarno in Bendogerit Village, Sanangilon District, Blitar City, East Java.

The caretaker of Kahfi Annezar's grave admitted that he had received information related to the plan to visit Vice President Gibran to Bung Karno's grave (the nickname of the first President of the Republic of Indonesia Soekarno).

"We knew a few days earlier. Earlier I also chatted normally and asked how you were, I was healthy," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 18.

He said anyone could make a pilgrimage to Bung Karno's grave.

Kahfi also prayed that Vice President Gibran would always be given health and blessings.

This pilgrimage to the grave of the first President of the Republic of Indonesia started a series of activities on the second day of the Vice President's visit to Blitar City.

The pilgrimage is part of the state's respect for the services of the nation's founders, in line with President Prabowo Subianto's enthusiasm in respecting the struggle of the generation of Indonesian liberators.

The vice president prayed, led by the caretaker of the tomb, Kahfi Annezar and continued with a sowing of flowers.

The Vice President also inundated Bung Karno's services in liberateing and forming the identity of the Indonesian nation.

The presence of the Vice President at Bung Karno's tomb also reflected on the government's commitment to continue to foster the spirit of nationality and emulate the values of struggle inherited by the founders of the country.

The presence of the Vice President is also a symbol of state respect for the proclaimer who has provided direction and identity for modern Indonesia.

After the pilgrimage, the Vice President continued his series of agendas for working visits to Blitar City. After that, he reviewed the free health check service and services at the Sukorejo Health Center, Blitar City. Then, make a visit to MSMEs in the city of Blitar.

The vice president is also scheduled to attend the Blitar Jadoel MSME bazaar.
