Jealous Of Ex-Girlfriend, Muara Angke Pier Labor Stabbed His Colleague To Death

JAKARTA - The police revealed the motive of the MY perpetrator (32) to stab his fellow casual laborer at Muara Angke Pier named ABT (39) until he died of revenge and a fire of jealousy burned.

"From the results of the initial interrogation, it was found that the motive for the perpetrator to kill the victim was revenge and jealousy," said Head of the Tanjung Priok Port Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) AKP I Gusti Ngurah Putu Krishna Narayana in Jakarta, Saturday, June 14, as reported by Antara.

According to the police chief, the murder was motivated by revenge due to disputes in the work. In addition, he is also jealous because the former girlfriend of MY perpetrator is currently in a relationship with the victim.

Previously, the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Tanjung Priok Port Police arrested a man with the initials MY who allegedly killed a victim ABT (39) using a sharp weapon in front of the North Jakarta Muara Angke Pluit TPI on Friday (13/6).

"This perpetrator was arrested in the Pluit Permai Housing area Block 10 North Jakarta at around 15.30 WIB or hours after the stabbing," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanjung Priok Port Police.

This perpetrator fought the officers while searching for badik evidence used by the perpetrators to stab the victim.

"We took measured action in accordance with the Regulation of the Head of the Indonesian National Police (Perkap) 1/2009 by shooting the perpetrator in the leg," he said.

This perpetrator was charged with Article 338 and Article 351 paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code, namely a criminal act of deliberately taking the lives of others and / or persecution which resulted in the death of a person with a maximum imprisonment of seven years.
