KPK Immediately Examines Ridwan Kamil Regarding Alleged Corruption Of IDR 222 Billion At Bank BJB

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil will soon be investigated regarding the alleged corruption case of advertising procurement projects at the West Java and Banten Regional Development Banks (BJB) for the period 2021-2023.

"God willing, we will summon it as soon as possible and verify it," said the Daily Executive Director of KPK Investigation Budi Sukmo Wibowo when confirmed by ANTARA Jakarta, Friday, June 6.

Budi explained that the summons of Ridwan Kamil could only be realized in the near future due to the limited resources of KPK investigators.

"Because the limited resources of investigators who are currently in many schools are also out, so they are divided into their jobs," he explained.

However, he reiterated that Ridwan Kamil would be questioned by KPK investigators in the near future.

"God willing, as I said yesterday, an examination of the person concerned will immediately be carried out, or clarification on matters related to the BJB case," he asserted.

Previously, Budi had said that Ridwan Kamil had the opportunity to be questioned by KPK investigators after Eid al-Fitr.

"It could be after Eid," said Budi at the KPK's Red and White Building, Jakarta, Thursday (20/3).

Meanwhile, the KPK on March 10, 2025 searched Ridwan Kamil's house regarding the investigation into the alleged corruption case at Bank BJB, and also confiscated motorcycles from the search.

In the case of alleged corruption of Bank BJB, KPK investigators have named five suspects, namely Bank BJB President Director Yuddy Renaldi, and Commitment Making Officer (PPK) as well as Head of Bank Corporate Secretary Division BJB Widi Hartoto.
