Often Suspected By Store Employees, Middle-aged Woman In Cipayung, East Jakarta Finally Arrested By Curi Kosmetics

JAKARTA - A female cosmetic thief was arrested during an act of theft at a minimarket in the Lubang Buaya area, Cipayung District, East Jakarta. The perpetrator has indeed been suspected by a store employee, but this is the first time he has been arrested because there is strong evidence.

The middle-aged woman was arrested after her movements were suspected by a minimarket employee. Moreover, the theft that the perpetrator was also caught on CCTV cameras in the minimarket.

The CCTV footage then went viral on Instagram social media. Based on the caption of the upload, it is known that the perpetrators have often carried out theft in a number of minimarkets.

"The woman has apparently been targeted by minimarket employees because she is suspected of having carried out her actions several times at minimarkets in the Rawa Binong and Albaidho areas," wrote the upload caption, quoted by VOI, Wednesday, June 4.

As a result of the theft, the minimarket suffered losses of up to millions of rupiah. The perpetrator was then taken to the Cipayung Police.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cipayung Police, Iptu Edi Handoko, confirmed the theft incident.

"The perpetrator was detained at the Sector Police. But the victim did not make a report," he briefly confirmed when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, June 4.
