Police Arrest Grandpa's Motorcycle Thief In Jambi Borrowing Mode But Victim Abandoned On The Road

JAMBI - The Jambi Police Ditreskrimum arrested a specialist in motorcycle thieves where his last action went viral for running an old man's motorbike (elderly) and then leaving him in the middle of the road.

"The perpetrator of Heince Elly Yandra (44), a resident of Pematang Sulur Village, Telanaipura District, Jambi City, was arrested by the Resmob team after being tracked down where he was hiding," said Director of Criminal Investigation at the Jambi Police, Kombes Monang Soebeti, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 3.

From the examination, the perpetrators often act to find targets by stealing or embezzling the motorbikes of teenagers and the elderly by asking to be delivered and then taking away the victim's motorbike.

Kombes Manang Soebeti said that this fraudulent act of embezzlement and theft of motorized vehicles had often been demonstrated by the suspect and finally went viral on social media because he took and took a grandfather's motorbike and left the victim on the road.

"The mode of borrowing a vehicle was then taken away, once remember a viral video at that time the grandfather was taken down and his motorbike was taken away. From there we conducted an investigation and finally got the data of the perpetrator and his hiding place," said Monang.

The police then identified the identity and place of the perpetrators' hiding until they were finally arrested without a fight.

Suspect Heince admitted that he had carried out more than 10 similar actions targeting teenagers and the elderly.

"The suspect admitted that he had done more than 10 times in the Jambi Police area, then three more locations he did not remember," said Kombes Monang.

In addition to the one perpetrator of embezzlement and theft of motorbikes, the Jambi Police also arrested 3 suspects in the stolen goods, namely Syarim Raynaldi (30), Tenjo (43) and Efrianto (28).

The seven pieces of evidence that were secured by the Jambi Police were also handed over directly to the vehicle owner. Meanwhile, the four suspects are suspected of Article 372 of the Criminal Code, Article 480 of the Criminal Code and Article 56 of the Criminal Code.
