JAKARTA - Employees of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) throughout Indonesia who are members of the OJK Employees Association (IPOJK) cut their salaries and holiday allowances (THR), for the OJK Care Covid-19 Program.
OJK employees are willing and agreed to distribute social assistance through monthly salary deductions for nine months starting April to December 2020 and THR.
"This salary reduction program is followed by all members of the OJK Board of Commissioners and Officials, while the discount is optional for employees whose positions are non-echelons (lower staff positions)," said Deputy Commissioner for Public Relations and Logistics, Anto Prabowo in a written statement, Friday, April 17.
The funds collected from salary cuts and THR, continued Anto, are planned to be channeled, among others, through the Indonesian Red Cross and the BNPB National Task Force which are expected to ease the burden of various groups of people including paramedics affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to the OJK Care for COVID-19 Program, OJK has also collected employee donations that have been voluntary since March 2020 which has reached IDR740,515,711.
"The donation has been distributed to the affected communities in the form of vitamins, personal protective equipment for paramedics and basic necessities for people in need," he added.
OJK employees mostly work from home to prevent the spread of the corona virus, remain committed and work hard to maintain the stability of the financial services sector and real sector fundamentals through various OJK strategic policies that are countercyclical and anticipatory of potential future risks.
