JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) denied reports about the name of the former Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Mendikbudristek), Nadiem Makarim, being included in the wanted list (DPO) or fugitives.

Kabar soal tersebut diketahui muncul setelah adanya unggahan dari akun Instagram @4ris_Budiman.

"There is no declaring (Nadiem Makarim) a DPO," said Head of the AGO, Harli Siregar when confirmed, Monday, June 2.

Not only that, Harli also denied that one of the apartment units belonging to Nadiem Makarim was carried out.

Because, still in the same upload, it is stated that the AGO investigators conducted a search. In fact, confiscated a number of pieces of evidence.

"We don't have to search," said Harli.

For information, Nadiem Makarim's name surfaced after two former special staff (stafsus) Nadiem while serving as Minister of Education and Culture, namely FH and JT, were examined by Jampidsus investigators for his connection in this case.

In addition to examining FH and JT, investigators also searched their second apartment located in the South Jakarta area. There, investigators confiscated a number of electronic evidence and documents.

It is known that the Jampidsus AGO is investigating a case of alleged corruption in the procurement of Chromebooks at the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2019-2022.

So far, Harli only had time to say that it opened up opportunities to examine the former minister. As long as the investigator does need his statement.
