JAKARTA - PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) continues to be committed to fostering the spirit of entrepreneurship among the younger generation by holding the National Week Teaching program at 58 Vocational High Schools (SMK) throughout Indonesia.
This activity is a direct response to BPS data in 2025 which noted that the highest open unemployment rate actually came from a vocational school graduate, which was 9.01 percent.
Through this program, PNM empowers its best 270 people to go directly to classrooms and share real experiences from the field.
No less than 1,740 vocational students were inspired by stories about the courage to start small businesses that grew from simple things, as so far PNM has done through assistance to ultra micro entrepreneurs.
PNM realizes that 66 percent of Gen Z in Indonesia has a desire to become entrepreneurs, but many of them don't know where to start. Therefore, PNM does not just provide theory, but carries a narration that ground and raises the courage to start.
This program reinforces the role of PNM as a development agent that not only focuses on financing, but also on entrepreneurial education.
"Through the National Teaching Week, PNM wants to bring real and close inspiration to vocational students. We believe that dreams are contagious, and stories from the field can move the spirit of the younger generation to start walking," said PNM Corporate Secretary L. Dodot Patria Ary in Jakarta, Friday 30 May.

This activity is part of PNM's strategy to expand the company's social impact, as well as contribute to reducing unemployment among SMK graduates.
PNM hopes that the enthusiasm and struggle values of ultra micro entrepreneurs who have been fostered can be a trigger for changes in the vocational education environment.
PNM will continue to expand similar initiatives in the future, as a form of real partiality to the progress of the younger generation of Indonesia and efforts to produce new entrepreneurs who are tough, independent, and have an impact.
