JAKARTA - All prospective pilgrims from Garut Regency, West Java, totaling 1,931 people, have now been dispatched to Makkah to carry out the Hajj pilgrimage in 1446 H/2025 AD.

The departure process took place in five flying groups (clusters) in stages and was officially declared complete.

Head of the Garut Regency Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) Office, Saepulloh, said that the last batch of pilgrims who were members of the 60th batch, consisting of 286 worshipers and accompanied by seven officers, had been released on Friday at the Garut Hall.

"Alhamdulillah, all prospective pilgrims from Garut have been safely dispatched," he said, as quoted by ANTARA.

He explained that all the groups from Garut had been dispatched through a scheduled and orderly process. The congregation who had arrived first in the Holy Land and those who had just departed, were all in good health and ready to continue the stages of worship.

"God willing, all pilgrims can carry out their pilgrimage well, starting from mandatory harmony to their sunnahs," he added.

The Garut Ministry of Religion also ensures that the pilgrims get assistance from the Hajj officers who have been prepared to help smooth worship. In addition, the congregation is also reminded to maintain health while in Saudi Arabia.

"Always take care of your health, adjust your diet, and rest regularly so that you stay fit during worship," said Saepulloh.

Meanwhile, Regional Assistant I for Government and People's Welfare of the Garut Regency Government, Bambang Hafidz, expressed his appreciation to all parties who have been involved in organizing and supervising this year's hajj departure process.

He also expressed hope that all pilgrims can perform their prayers smoothly and return to their homeland in good health. "We wish you good luck in performing the pilgrimage, hopefully it will be a great pilgrimage, and hopefully all processes will run without obstacles," he said.
