Polda Metro Ringkus 3,599 People Related To Thugs, 56 Of Them Members Of Ormas

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya and ranks arrested 3,599 people involved in thuggery. Dozens of them are members of the Community Organization (ormas).

"We have secured approximately 3,599 people involved in this thuggery case," said Karo Ops Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes I Ketut Gede Wijatmika to reporters, Monday, May 26.

The arrest of thousands of people was the result of the implementation of Operation Eradication of Jaya 2025 which lasted for 2 weeks from May 9 to May 23, 2025.

Of the thousands of people, 3,251 of them were trained. Meanwhile, 348 other people were named as suspects.

"There have been 348 suspects, with details of 83 people carried out by the Regional Police, while 265 people were carried out by the suspect by the Resort Police," he said.

In this regard, in the implementation of Operation Eradication of Jaya 2025, there were 56 thugs under the guise of mass organizations named as suspects. In detail, 31 people from the Pancasila Youth Organization (PP), 10 people from the Betawi Rempug Forum (FBR) mass organization, the Trinusa mass organization as many as 11 people, from the GRIB mass organization 1 person, to the Gitas mass organization 1 person.

"In addition, we also arrested 3 thuggery perpetrators under the guise of debt collectors, 1 person from Toyota Astra Finance and 2 people from FIFGroup," said Wijatmika.

From these activities, various evidences were confiscated with details of 93 sharp weapons, 89 motorbikes, 4 cars, 147 cellphones, 1 laptop, 2 tickets used in illegal levies, 20 identity cards for members of mass organizations, 6 Ormas jackets, 9 Ormas regeneration certificates, 1 BCA account and cash amounting to Rp85,247,500.
