JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) has confirmed that as many as 203,309 visas for prospective hajj participants have been issued or now only nine visas have remained that have not been issued out of the total number of regular pilgrims.

"Hopefully today will be completed so that our congregation, God willing, can all go to the Holy Land to perform the pilgrimage," said Director of Domestic Hajj Services at the Ministry of Religion Muhammad Zain in Jakarta, Friday, May 23, as quoted by Antara.

According to Zain, there are still nine visas that have not been issued, consisting of two congregational visas that have just been submitted for issuance (vis visa request), two visas that are already in the underprocessing stage, and five visas that are being processed to be put into premanives by the Provincial Ministry of Religion Regional Office team.

Head of Sub-Directorate for Regular Hajj Documents and Equipment at the Directorate of Domestic Hajj Services Khairun Naim added that there are a number of stages in the vision process.

First, upload the premanifest group to Siskohat by the Provincial Ministry of Religion Regional Office. Second, the Sub-Directorate of Regular Hajj Documents and Equipment requires visas to the ehajj portal based on the premanifest group uploaded by the Provincial Ministry of Religion Regional Office.

Third, the Sub-Directorate of Regular Hajj Documents and Equipment conducts Grouping groups in coordination with the Jeddah Hajj Affairs Office. Fourth, the Jeddah Hajj Affairs Office plots Syarikah and completes the service package.

Fifth, visas are downloaded from the ehajj portal and uploaded to Siskohat by the Sub-Directorate of Regular Hajj Documents and Equipment. Finally, the Provincial Ministry of Religion Regional Office printed a congregation's visa and placed it according to the passports of each congregation.

"Normalnya, setelah proses grouping, plotting syarikah dan penyelesaian paket layanan, status visa jemaah yang awalnya 'New' pada portal ehajj berubah menjadi 'printed'," kata dia.

"But for certain reasons, such as constraints on the ehajj system, for example, the visa status that was originally 'New' did not immediately turn into 'printed', but became 'under processing' or 'sent passport to ambassy'," Naim added.

According to him, if the status is 'under processing', then the Ministry of Religion coordinates with the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj's ehajj Team. Meanwhile, if the status is 'sent passport to ambassy', his party coordinates with the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Jakarta.

To date, there are 366 groups with 144,024 people who have arrived in the Holy Land. The congregation, who departed in wave I, landed first in Medina. After about nine days in Medina, it has only shifted to Makkah Al-Mukarramah.

Meanwhile, the officers who departed in wave II landed in Jeddah and then went straight to Makkah. The departure process for Indonesian pilgrims from the country to the Holy Land took place from 2 to 31 May 2025.
