JAKARTA - Two important members of the City Mayor Clara Brugada team were killed in a direct attack on the capital.
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said the people who might be the perpetrators of the murder were riding a motorcycle.
"This is a sad incident and we will provide all the support the mayor may need," the president said.
In a statement shared by Brugada on X, the Mexican City government stated "there will be no impunity, those responsible will be arrested and must stand trial."
Those killed were the mayor's personal secretary, Ximena Guzman, and Brugada's adviser, Jose Munoz.
