Riau Police Holds Large-Scale Patrol At Night, Guarantees Public Security

PEKANBARU - Riau Regional Police (Polda) held a large-scale patrol at night. This patrol aims to provide a sense of security in the midst of society.

"The Regional Police Chief has ordered all ranks to carry out patrols to provide a sense of security to the community," said Head of Public Relations of the Riau Police, Kombes Anom Caribbeanto, in his statement, Saturday, May 17.

Kombes Anom said the Riau Police Chief Inspector General Herry Heryyawan also instructed all ranks to turn on the rotator at night. This is so that people can feel the presence of the police, especially at night.

"According to the instructions of the regional police chief, all ranks should turn on the rotator lights, 'bluening' the streets by turning on the rotator lights," he added.

The Raga team that has been formed, both at the Riau Regional Police and the police ranks, also went down to conduct patrols. The Raga team will conduct patrols at a number of points prone to disturbances to social security.

"The Raga team held simultaneous apples tonight in certain places, not necessarily at the police station, the goal is that the presence of the police, the Raga Team is felt directly by the community," he said.

Riau Regional Police (Polda) launched a super team named 'Tim Raga' in the context of eradicating thuggery and disturbing street crimes. This 'Raga' team will carry out 24-hour patrols to provide a sense of security and comfort for the community.

The launch of the 'Ranga Team' was led directly by the Riau Police Chief Inspector General Herry Heryyawan, Wednesday (14/5/2025). Inspector General Herry said that the National Police in general has the task of maintaining social order and regularity and protecting, protecting and serving the community in addition to law enforcement as mandated in Article 13 of Law Number 2 of 2002.

In the context of carrying out the main tasks of the National Police, the Riau Police held routine activities such as security, traffic regulation and others. In order to further optimize these routine tasks, the Riau Police carry out enhanced routine activities (KRYD)

"In the context of events that occur in society, the Riau Police 'Raga' Team was formed, the main goal of which is to serve the community," said Inspector General Herry Hery.
