BMKG: Light Rain Potentially Guyur A Number Of Big Cities Today

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts the potential for light rain to occur in a number of major cities on Sunday, May 18, including Makassar, Bandung, Surabaya, and Jayapura.

BMKG weather forecaster, Hasmorini, explained that in the Sumatra region, the potential for rain accompanied by lightning or lightning is expected to occur in Tanjung Pinang. Medan is predicted to experience moderate rain, light rain Pekanbaru, foggy Banda Aceh, and thick cloudy Padang.

For Java Island, moderate rain has the potential to occur in Serang and Semarang. Light rain is predicted to fall in Bandung, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya, while Jakarta is expected to be thick cloudy.

In the areas of Bali and Nusa Tenggara, Denpasar is predicted to have light rain, thick cloudy Kupang, and cloudy Mataram.

The island of Kalimantan has the potential for light rain in general, but the BMKG calls for vigilance against potential rain accompanied by lightning in Pontianak.

In Sulawesi, Mamuju and Palu are expected to experience rain accompanied by lightning or lightning. Meanwhile, light rain is predicted to occur in Manado, Gorontalo, Makassar, and Kendari.

For eastern Indonesia, Nabire has the potential to experience rain accompanied by lightning or lightning, heavy rain in Jayawijaya, as well as Ternate and Sorong are forecasted to experience moderate rain.
