PCO: Presidential Planes Are Painted And Replaced For Maintenance

JAKARTA - Head of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) Hasan Nasbi explained that the presidential plane of the Republic of Indonesia A-001 was painted and replaced with a pattern (livery) for routine maintenance and maintenance.

However, Hasan continued that he would seek further information to find out the exact reasons behind the change, along with the cost of painting the presidential plane.

"Frankly, I have to check first about why the presidential plane changed color. But like this, friends, if vehicles, planes, ships, there is routine maintenance, routine maintenance. Yes, one of the maintenance is also changing designs, changing colors," Hasan Nasbi said in response to reporters' questions during a discussion event in Jakarta, Saturday.

Therefore, Hasan asked that the change not be exaggerated and sought for reasons. "For example, usually the presidential car is black, today the presidential car is white, that's okay," Hasan said.

According to him, changing colors, patterns/designs are commonplace, especially the main goal of maintaining and reducing the risk of corrosion, oxidation, and risk due to fuel spills or other environmental factors.

Changes in livery and paint color that are different from the Presidential Aircraft A-001 were first observed when the plane was parked right next to the PK-GRD presidential plane, which is currently being used by President Prabowo Subianto, at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta (14/4).

The Presidential Aircraft A-001, which was used in the previous period by the 7th President Joko Widodo, originally had a red majority pattern on the nose and then the red block was running low until the tail.

On the side of the plane, the writing 'Indonesian Republic' was made white, so it was seen that it was in contrast to the aircraft's red background.

However, the presidential plane currently has a pattern similar to the PK-GRD, which is the majority of white all over the fuselage, with red line accents extending at the top and bottom of the window. At the top, the line accents are made thicker than at the bottom. Meanwhile, the writing 'Indonesian Republic' is also made black, with a different type of font from the previous design.
