Close to Comedy, Fajar Nugra is Worried about Intimate Scenes in the Film "Soul Seducer"

JAKARTA - Actor Fajar Nugra admitted that he had many concerns for his latest film, Pemikat Jiwa. In addition to being trusted as the main actor, he was also required to have intimate scenes with his co-star.

"It just so happens that we have an intimacy coordinator here. I am the person who seems to be very afraid, very overthinking when on set, because - this is us talking a little mature - I'm afraid to be thought of as a coward or what," said Fajar Nugra at the film premiere in South Jakarta on Tuesday, June 30.

"That's my fear that I confided in IC (Intimacy Coordinator), to Runny of course. So it's like Runny managed to mediate between me and Givina," he continued.

"Pemikat Jiwa" tells the story of Jay (Fajar Nugra) and Wulan (Givina Lukita), two childhood friends who grew up together. Jay likes Wulan but when Wulan is proposed by Darma (Erdin Werdrayana), Jay tries to seduce by sending Wulan a lot of things.

Runny Rudiyanti who is the intimate coordinator and one of the actors explained that the presence of IC in the film is not only regulating but ensuring the sense of security that occurs between the two players in performing scenes related to sexuality.

"Because if you talk about working with actors, the most important thing is that they are both very professional. We can discuss with adults, we can know their limits before we go shooting. But also at the same time chatting with the creative team and the directing team for 'this choreography wants to be moved like what?' so we can practice," explained Runny Rudiyanti.

"Fortunately, from Makara, from the IC, he took care of it very well from the small team or whatever. But it's still a feeling when the character breaks, when the word 'cut' is, I feel bad about Givina for fear of the smell. So I asked after 'cut', 'Wet tissue! Wet tissue for Givina, wet tissue! I asked," said Fajar.

"Actually, I was still silent, I was still digesting it. When 'cut', he said 'Wet tissue for him! Wet tissue!'" said Givina Lukita.

Furthermore, Fajar also explained that Jay's role in this film was portrayed very seriously so that he was worried whether he could play it without looking at all comedy. Givina who became the opponent admitted that Fajar was very serious on location.

"Honestly, the first 4 days of shooting started, it felt like a dream, it felt like a dream. It felt like God, this is really not it, I can play the character of Jay. It feels like it's just a burden on the fourth day," said Fajar Nugra.

Meanwhile, the film Pemikat Jiwa will be shown in Indonesian cinemas starting July 9, 2026.
