COVID-19 Update As Of April 30: New 5,500 Cases, Accumulated 1,668,368 Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19. A total of 77,226 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 5,202 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 1,668,368 people and 100,213 active cases," he was quoted as saying from the Ministry of Health's data, Friday, April 30.

Cases recovered today increased by 5,202 cases, so that a total of 1,522,634 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 187 people and a total of 45,521 people.

The province with the most new cases is in West Java with 1,179 cases and a total of 281,205 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta which has 789 new cases with a total of 408,620 cases. Riau has 521 new cases and a total of 44,277 cases. Then, Central Java has 400 new cases and a total of 184,243 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to West Java with an increase of 1,179 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an additional 923 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 540 recovered cases, and Riau with an additional 403 recovered cases.

There is one province that reported no new cases as of today. The province that reported zero new cases was West Sulawesi.

In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 14,619,439.

"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate was 18.20 percent," he wrote.

For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 67,208 people. Currently, 510 districts / cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.

Furthermore, currently there are 12,385,886 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 7,629,859 vaccines for the second dose. Meanwhile, the total target of vaccination stages 1 and 2 reached 40,349,051 people.
