Up To Investigation, Malang Police Immediately Name Suspect In Doctor's Case Of Harassing Patients

JAKARTA - Malang City Police, East Java, again conducted an examination of QAR victims of alleged sexual harassment by doctors at a private hospital in the local city.

Head of the Public Relations Section of the Malang City Police, Ipda Yudi Risdiyanto, said that the arrival of QAR was to complete the files from the examination process, after the handling of the alleged case was increased from an investigation to an investigation.

"It's true, today we have examined the victim regarding the case, which has been raised to the investigation stage," Yudi said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 14.

Yudi said the investigation was entirely the domain and authority of the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) of the Malang City Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim).

He still could not provide details about the handling of the alleged case.

"The investigation process and the implementation of the internal case title are carried out by PPA. What is clear is that Q (QAR) has been submitted to the investigation process," he said.

Malang City Police have also not yet determined the status of a suspect against a doctor with the initials AY in the alleged sexual harassment committed against QAR.

"For that (the determination of the suspect) is still not for now. Because the report from the victim has been raised to an investigation," he said.

Meanwhile, the legal adviser for victim QAR, Satria Marwan, said that his client was indeed being questioned by the police again.

"Yes (asked for information again)," he said.

However, Satria admitted that she still did not know for sure what the material of the investigation was.

"Later, I will ask the person who accompanied the (victim) to the Malang Police," said Satria.

Sebelumnya seorang perempuan berinisial QAR melaporkan dokter salah satu rumah rumah swasta di Kota Malang kepada kepolisian, atas dugaan kasus pelecehan seksual.

The alleged harassment experienced by QAR occurred when he was undergoing treatment in the VIP inpatient room at a private house, in September 2022.

After receiving the report, the Malang City Police Satreskrim conducted an investigation, including asking for information from the AY reported, on Tuesday (29/4).
