The West Nusa Tenggara Mount Rinjani National Park (TNGR) Office has maintained or repaired the Torean hiking trail to Mount Rinjani to provide comfort and security for tourists who climb.
"The maintenance team started work today by widening the lane in the Banyu Urip area, including cutting stones and making traps around the end of the lower handleline," said Head of TNGR Yarman Hall as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 14.
The Torean hiking trail is known as Juressic ParkGunung Rinjani Lombok which offers stunning and beautiful and green natural beauty.
However, this beauty is also accompanied by terrain challenges that require special attention.
"Although the rainy weather and dense climber traffic are challenges, the team's enthusiasm remains high to improve the hiking trail," he said.
Yarman said the team got an additional six personnel, bringing the total members who made repairs on the hiking trail to 17 people.
"The work is continued with a focus on improving the broken rope handle clamp, building a wooden bridge in Kokok Putih, and installing steps at the top of the Kokok Putih river," he said.
This effort is part of a joint commitment to improve the safety and comfort of climbers on the Torean route to Mount Rinjani.
