Member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Lola Nelria Oktavia, urged the TNI and Polri to be transparent in handling the tragic incident of an expired ammunition explosion in Sagara Village, Cibalong District, Garut Regency, West Java, which killed 13 people, including four TNI soldiers, Monday, May 12.
In an official statement received in Jakarta on Monday night, Lola expressed deep concern over the tragedy and stressed the need for serious evaluation of the ammunition management and destruction system by the authorities.
"The TNI and Polri are expected to provide transparency in the handling of this case, as well as improve the security system in the management of ammunition. Do not let similar incidents happen again or occur elsewhere," said Lola.
