Polresta Barelang Reka Repeats The Case Of The Murder Of Honorary Batam Employees

BATAM - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sekupang Police, Polresta Barelang carried out a reconstruction of the premeditated murder case by honorary employees of the Cipta Karya and Spatial Planning Office of Batam City, Riau Islands.

The reconstruction or reconstruction was led directly by the Head of the Barelang Police, Kombes Zaenal Arifin, accompanied by Kasatreskrim AKP Debby Tri Andrestian, Sekupang Police Chief Kompol Benhur Gultom, public prosecutor and lawyer.

In the reconstruction which was held at the DCKTR kntor in Batam City, the suspect FK (26) was present who demonstrated 38 scenes. For the victim and the witnesses the reconstruction was demonstrated by investigators.

"Of the 38 scenes shown, in the 29th scene the suspect injured the victim in the neck three times," said Barelang Police Chief Kombes Zaenal Arifin as reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 5.

In the scene, it started when the suspect left for work at the DCKTR Office in Sekupang at 07.00 WIB. Then at 09.00 WIB, the suspect returned to his boarding house on Jalan Kartini 6 to change clothes from official clothes to t-shirts.

The perpetrator also demonstrated a scene when buying a knife at a shop in the Tiban Center area. Then the suspect returned to the office at around 10:00 WIB.

At around 11.20 WIB, the suspect met the victim who was sitting behind the DCKTR office with five witnesses. One of them was witness Habib who knew about the incident.

"Witness Habib reported to the reporter with the initials RK aged 33 years, that the HR victim was stabbed by the suspect," said Zaenal.

Before injuring the victim, the suspect shook hands with the victim and apologized because it was still in the atmosphere of Eid al-Fitr. After that, the suspect moved towards the back of the victim and injured the victim using his left hand.

After the suspect injured the victim, witness Habib and five of his colleagues pulled the suspect's hand and released the knife he was in hand and took the victim to the Batam Authority Hospital. The victim's life was not saved, pronounced dead from an injury that caused blood loss.

In investigating this case, investigators confiscated 17 pieces of evidence, including a knife used by the suspect, and clothes.

The suspect's actions were carried out on the basis of being hurt by the victim who often bullied while working as an honorary employee at the service since 2022.

Separately, the Head of the Sekupang Police, Kompol Benhur Gultom, said that this reconstruction was one of the investigative steps to make the case clear. After the reconstruction, his party immediately completed the case file for further transfer of stage one to the public prosecutor (JPU).

"We will immediately complete the case files after this reconstruction so that they can be unified immediately," said Benhurn.
